NEW Leadership New York (NLNY) summer program

NEW Leadership™ New York is a program of the Women’s Leadership Academy at the Center for Women in Government & Civil Society (CWGCS). NLNY is part of the National Education for Women’s (NEW) Leadership network, established by the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) at Rutgers University.

The NLNY summer program is a six-day residential program that provides undergraduate college women with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective public service leaders. NLNY provides participants with the opportunity to develop and practice their leadership skills, increase their self confidence, establish networks with like minded peers, interact with successful political women, and develop and embrace their own leadership abilities.

Each year, a diverse group of women from colleges and universities across New York will be selected to attend the NEW Leadership™ program. The cost for each student to attend the program is $2,500. In order to ensure that no student is turned away for lack of funding, we are appealing to local leaders to help support students’ participation by making a financial contribution to NEW Leadership™ New York. I hope you will consider making a contribution to our program fund today. Please help us to prepare these women for the important roles they are about to undertake.

Yes, I want to help support women’s leadership in New York State!
