The UAlbany Parents Fund is an opportunity to invest in your child’s home away from home. Donations to the Parents Fund are used to enhance the quality of student life and support programs that directly benefit your child’s experience on campus.
Tuition, fees, and state assistance provide less than half the revenue needed to cover the University’s annual operating costs. That’s why donations from our parents are so important in making up that difference. By making a gift to the Parents Fund, you will be joining a rich tradition of parents investing in their children’s UAlbany experience and future achievements.
Gifts to the Parents Fund support programs such as:
- Career Services, which assist with choosing majors and careers, developing resumes, and preparing for interviews.
- Middle Earth peer assistance program, where trained UAlbany undergrads deliver education services and a peer assistance hotline to the campus community.
- The Writing Center, where tutors work with students in one-on-one sessions to offer guidance on written assignments, as well as advice on writing issues relevant to life outside the classroom.
- Danes After Dark, which provides various late-night entertainment and activities on both the uptown and downtown campuses every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, giving students a safe, alcohol-free environment to come together and relax.
