The Dean C. Backer '88 Scholarship

To Kelechi Nwokocha, a business administration major, the Dean C. Backer ’88 Scholarship is “a reminder of the importance of hard work and dedication.” Nwokocha, who plans to work
in banking after graduation, says the scholarship has another purpose, as well: to serve as
a reminder that it’s “important to give back when you have success.”
