UAlbany Alumni Association Supports New Stadium
February 2, 2013. UAlbany Alumni Association President Canon Kay Hotaling ’66, ’70, Vice President Tim Murphy ’77 and Executive Director Lee Serravillo Jr. presented President Robert J. Jones, The University at Albany Foundation’s Executive Director Fardin Sanai and Vice President for Athletic Administration Lee McElroy with a $150,000 contribution in support of the University’s new stadium at the Big Purple Growl. The University is well on its way to achieving a state-of-the-art multi-sports complex for students, alumni and the community-at-large less than a year after breaking ground. Public-private support has been essential to moving the project forward, which includes a new multi-use synthetic turf field, an enhanced football and soccer facility, and long overdue repairs and upgrades to the University’s track & field venue to NCAA Division I standards.
