The 1844 Society

When you give $1,000 or more to the University at Albany, you join the University’s most distinguished annual recognition club, the 1844 Society. Named for the year UAlbany was established, the 1844 Society and its members provide annual support to the students, faculty, staff, academic programs and research initiatives that make UAlbany the leading University that it is today.

1844 Society Levels

• Board of Directors Society: $10,000 to $24,999

• Fountain Society: $5,000 to $9,999

• Podium Society: $2,500 to $4,999

• Purple and Gold Society: $1,000 to $2,999
