Text: There is no required text; Davis and Reynolds, Structural Geology of rocks and regions is recommended, and readings will be assigned from it.

        Test 2 - Wednesday 15th March, 11.30-12.25, ES 232        25%
        Test 3 – Friday 7th April, 11.30-12.25, ES 232                    25%
        Test 4a - Friday 28th April 11.30-12.05, ES 232                  15%      
        Test 4b – Monday 8th May 11.30-11.55, ES 232                 10%

Test 1 will be on topics from Part 1 - Material behaviour and brittle fractures, covered in the lectures up to (about) 13th February.
Test 2 will be on topics of Part 2 - Faults and folds, covered in lectures from about 17th February to 13th March.
Test 3 will be on topics of Part 3 - Ductile fabrics and metamorphic structures, covered in lectures from about 17th March to 5th April.
Tests 4a and 4b will be on topics of Part 4 – Strain markers and strain geometry etc., covered in lectures from about 17th April to 5th May.

For GEO 330 alone, exams together are totalled for the overall grade.

Lab exercises [GEO 332]: Most labs will require turning in work based on part or all of any particular lab. Announcement of what is required will be made in the individual labs. Deadline for turning in lab exercises will be 5pm Wednesday following each lab. Overall grade is based on accumulated total from all the labs.

Certain lab exercises will involve using the computers in ES B13.
Note: No lectures on: Feb 20-24; Apr 10-14.
    No lab on 17 Feb; 24 Feb; 7 April; 14 April; 5 May.
