Season of Giving
UAlbany’s Educational Opportunities Program and Office of Access and Academic Enrichment have joined forces with Sigma Gamma Rho, Sorority, Inc. and members of the Theta Gamma Sigma Alumnae Chapter to collect donated items for the “Adopt a Family” program through Equinox, an organization to support victims of domestic violence. UAlbany student volunteers from EOP, Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority and the Theta Gamma Sigma Alumnae Chapter wrap the donated gifts.

Great Danes Win
In a battle for the Albany Cup, senior guards Mike Black and Jacob Iati paced UAlbany Mens Basketball team with 13 points a piece to defeat Siena, 69-56, on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Times Union Center. The Lady Danes also drove UAlbany to a 65-48 win over Siena in the 2012 Albany Cup game on Saturday at the TU Center.

UAlbany Great Danes Win Big
Hitting a last-second layup to defeat Washington, 63-62, Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, the UAlbany Great Danes mens basketball team proved victorious over the Washington Huskies. This is UAlbany's second BCS win in school history; the first was against Utah in 2006.

Great Dane Football Off to a Great Start
The UAlbany Great Danes football team cracked into the Top-25 in the FCS Coaches Poll Monday, ranking 24th in the nation, after receiving votes through the first five weeks of the season. Undefeated in conference play and on a three-game win-streak, the Great Danes are off to their best start since 2001 and have been completely dominant in their victories.
