**To participate in the contests students should sign-up DAY OF at the contest area. Sign-up sheets will be out for each contest (except the scavenger hunt which you must pre-register for). Contests are FIRST COME FIRST SERVE and it is one contest per participant so choose wisely!**

Flash Dance!

12:00pm – 4:00pm

Participants: Unlimited

Prize: entered in drawing

Dance Dance Revolution Contest for individual contestants with unlimited action all day! There will be two contestants allowed per round with one winner each round.  Winners will receive a raffle ticket to enter the drawing.  The drawing winner will be contacted on Monday to receive their prize.

Gym Class Heroes

12:15pm – 1:00pm

Participants: Unlimited

Prize: 3^rd place - $25 off podium money; 2^nd place - $50 off podium money; 1^st place - $100 off podium money.

Think back to high school gym class and get ready for an obstacle course that will blow your mind! Including old school scooters, basketball hoops, floor hockey and more!  Contestants must sign-up that day.  The obstacle course will be timed and the winners will be posted at 1:00pm in the contest area.  The fastest top three players will receive the following prizes: 3^rd place - $25 off podium money; 2^nd place - $50 off podium money; 1^st place - $100 off podium money.

Wonder Twins

Prize: $50 (ea.) Barnes & Noble Gift Card

Do you have what it takes to be a superhero? Prove it by competing with a partner trying to change into your superhero costume while tied together.  Not an easy task even for the greatest of danes! Only 10 teams of two can participate – be sure to sign up early! The winning team receives a $50 gift card to Barnes & Noble for both players.

Aquaman’s Balloon Toss

Participants: 20 teams of 2

Prize: $50 (ea.) Visa Gift Card

The much loved balloon toss is back for Fountain Day 2008 with a superhero twist!  Twenty teams of two will compete to see who can fill their bucket full of water the fastest.  One teammate wears the bucket on his or her head while the other shoots water balloons into the bucket.  You must sign-up for this event.  The winning team receives 2 $50 Visa Gift Cards.

Batman & Robin’s Ice Cream Creation

Participants: 8 teams of 2

Prize: $50 (ea.) Crossgates Gift Card

Even superheroes need a snack! In this competition 8 teams will create an ice cream sundae suitable for a hero and then eat the ice cream in hero fashion – quickly! The catch is there will be a guide and a blindfolded creator.  You must sign-up for this event.  The first team to successfully create and eat their sundae will win two $50 Crossgates Gift Cards.

Fantastic Four Square

Prize: 2^nd Place - $25 off podium money 1^st place - $50 off podium money

Sixteen contestants compete to be the ultimate Fantastic Four Square player.  Four games will be played at 2pm.  The four winners of the initial round will then compete in the final game to determine the Fountain Day 2008 Fantastic Four Square Champion.  You must sign up for this event.  Second place will receive $25 off podium money and the Fantastic Four Square Champion will receive $50 off podium money. 

Bobbing for Superheroes

Our superheroes are in trouble! They have been trapped in barrels of Jell-o and need to be rescued.  Without using hands contestants will bob to save superheroes out off the Jell-o.  You must sign-up for this contest.  The first contestant to rescue all the trapped superheroes will receive a $50 Crossgates Gift Card.

Scavenger Hunt

Participants: 20 teams of 4 –

Prize: 1^st place team – $400 in Visa Gift Cards; 2^nd place team - $200 in Visa Gift Cards

UAlbany’s beloved Mascot is in trouble!! Lil’ D needs your help! The Riddler has captured him and left the following note: I have Lil’ D but as I am a fair man I will give you students the opportunity to win him back of course. At this Fountain Day event I shall leave clues and riddles for you. If you are clever enough you will find your precious Lil’ D – if you cannot master my clues then you will lose him forever. **REWARD!** The first team of four who can locate Lil’ D will be rewarded with $400 in VISA gift cards. The second team will be rewarded with $200 in VISA gift cards.
