In the Art Department at the University at Albany we have partnered with Apple Computer to provide all students, faculty and staff with exclusive discounts on specially-configured laptop computers for personal purchase.

Apple is the platform of choice in the Art Department and we strongly urge our majors who are considering a computer purchase to acquire this equipment in order to better integrate with our workflow. You are by no means required to have a Mac (nor even a computer, for that matter) to be an Art major, but we think once you become involved in capturing and editing digital video, manipulating and printing large archival photographs, rendering complex audio works, realizing an animation project or require precise color-management calibration and control, you'll want one. And we can help.

Follow the link on the upper right to our Recommended Systems. These discounts apply only to products purchased for personal use and may not be used for equipment purchased with State funds.
