Yvette Mattern

Yvette Mattern, Assistant Professor, Video and Digital Media, is a video artist, video designer for experimental theater and opera and an AVID editor for television and film. She received an MFA from Columbia University in Screenwriting and directing. Her work has been exhibited, screened or performed internationally including ZKM Medien Theater, Munich Festival for New Music, Riga National Opera House, Hebbel Theater, Burofriedrich, Anthology Film Archives, the Kitchen, PS 122, the ICA Boston, Smart Project Space, the Valencia Biennale, the Performing Garage and the Berlin Film Festival. Her work is included in the catalogue "Unpacking Europe" for the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen exhibition. Grants received included an NEA regional arts fellowship, Art Matters, and Bonn Kunstfonds, Bonn, Germany. She currently lives and works between Albany, NY and Berlin.
