AED/CPR Training

The University at Albany is pleased to offer American Heart Association AED/CPR classes on campus as part of the SUNY Lifesaver Program.  The two hour course will provide instruction in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as well as the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) units that have been installed on all of the university campuses.  Certification is good for two years, and periodic online refresher courses will be available.

We are now offering the classes two ways.  You can either register for a group session or take the class on line and make an appointment for a skills test aferward.  Please contact Stacy Stern at sstern@albany.edu 956-8120 for more information.

At present, we are looking for faculty and staff who are willing to be a designated responder for the AED units in their buildings - we are required to have two for each unit on campus.  Volunteers for this responsibility will be given priority on the training schedule.

There's an app for that!  Smart phone users can download a First Aid / AED/CPR application from the vendor's app store.

Please contact Stacy Stern, UAlbany AED Coordinator with any questions at 956-8120 or at sstern@albany.edu
