The Honorable James Nicholas Tedisco (R.) has been a member of the New York State Assembly since 1982. In 1999, Tedisco was appointed Chairman of the Assembly Republican Program Committee, and his Assembly Committees include Rules, Banks and Local Governments. Prior to his election to the Assembly, Tedisco served as a Schenectady City Councilman from 1977-1982. His election in 1977, at age 27, gave him at that time the distinction of being the youngest City Councilman in Schenectady's history.
