Everyone is invited to celebrate fall at UAlbany's Fall Festival & Book Fair  during Homecoming Weekend

10am

  • 5K Run
    The Fall Celebration kicks off with a 5K run at 10am to benefit cancer research.
  • Farmers’ Market
    Locally grown and homemade treats will be available from 10am to 3pm. All proceeds will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.
  • Informal Tours at the University Art Museum of the exhibition Courier
    This exhibit features contemporary artworks that explore the physical, communicative, or iconic properties of the typewriter.

10:30am

  • University Authors Book Fair
    Over two dozen UAlbany faculty and alumni authors will be on hand to showcase their books and provide readings from their books.  First reading starts at 10:30am and goes until 3pm.  Authors will be available for book signings and their books will be on display for purchase.

11am

  • Tailgate Party
    Tailgating will begin at 11am under the big tent to get everyone excited to cheer on the UAlbany Great Danes at 1pm against St. Francis.
  • Student Performances
    Come watch UAlbany’s talented students perform. The lineup includes UAlbany a cappella groups and demonstrations of salsa dancing and karate. First act goes on 11am and the last act will go on at 2pm.
  • Fun for Kids
    Kids activities for all ages will be available from 11am to 3pm.  Climb a rock wall, practice your putting on UAlbany’s putting green, paint some pumpkins, get a balloon from Mr. Twisty or paint your face. These activities are hosted by UAlbany’s Alumni Association.
  • Animal Demonstrations
    UAlbany’s sustainability efforts will also be on display with a sheepherding demonstration from 11am to 12pm and 12pm to 1pm, hosted by Gary Kleppel, professor of biological sciences and director of the Biodiversity, Conservation and Policy program at UAlbany, and a farmer, as well. There will also be demonstrations from the UAlbany Police Department canine unit!
