Paul Grondahl, M.A. '84, is an award-winning author and journalist whose That Place Called Home is the true story of how Sister Mary Ann LoGiudice, a Sister of Mercy, became a mother to an orphaned girl with AIDS. A Times Union reporter and adjunct professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at UAlbany, Grondahl is also the author of I Rose Like a Rocket: The Political Education of Theodore Roosevelt (2005), and Mayor Corning: Albany Icon, Albany Enigma (1997).
