Grades in this course will be calculated as follows:

Literacy Narrative 15 points
Case Study of a Student Writer/Reader 20 points
Summary/Response Paper 15 points
Collaborative Unit Plan 25 points
Final Reflective Essay 15 points
Participation 10 points

Grades for Participation. Your learning in this course will depend upon your genuine and consistent participation in course discussions and activities, especially the writing and study groups. Grading for this component of the course will be based on the extent of your participation: if you participate according to the guidelines, you'll receive full credit for this portion of your grade for the course; if you participate haphazardly or not at all, your grade will be adjusted accordingly. In addition, missing or poorly executed work will result in a lower participation grade.

Final grades will be calculated as follows:

94-100 points A
90-93 points A-
86-89 points B+
83-85 points B
80-82 points B-
76-79 points C+
73-75 points C
70-72 points C-
60-69 points D

59 points or fewer earns an E.
