Discussion Board Guidelines

  1. Go to the Library's Electronic Reserve (ERes) Website at http://eres.ulib.albany.edu/ .

  2. Click on the link for "Electronic Reserves Course Index".

  3. Locate out course through the instructor's name (Dugan, Ronald).

  4. Click on the link for PSY440, Evaluation.

  5. Enter the password "evaluation" (small case letters without the quotation marks).

  6. Click on the link "Discussion Board" under "Course Page Links" in the yellow and blue menu on the far right of the screen.

  7. Click on the link for the correct assignment number (e.g., "1st Assignment").

  8. Just to the right of the upper, middle portion of the screen, you will see a link that looks like >> Post a new message << . Click on this to post your response to the assigned reading.

  9. For "Author Name" put your last name, and for subject put the assignment number (e.g., "1st Assignment"). You do not need to fill in the other lines.

  10. In the "Message Body" box, type in your response to the reading. This response must be 100 words minimum, with a maximum of about one word document page in length. Your discussion should not be a recital of what you read, but rather, your interpretation and critique of what you read. Tell me what you liked or didn't like, or what you agreed or disagreed with, and why. Then click the button that says "Continue".

  11. You will make one original posting for each assignment. In addition, you need to reply to one other person who has not been replied to yet. If it is the case that not enough people have posted yet, and you want to reply to someone else who has already been replied to, you may do so. I can tell from the time of posting which messages were available to be replied to. We want to share the wealth of feedback with each of our classmates. Any questions, e-mail or contact me before the assignment is due.
