Objectives
This course will introduce
you to the hardware and software that are required to produce maps for hard
copy output and computer graphic displays. Using the Java programming language,
you will experiment with computer graphics procedures that are essential to
automated cartography. This course is a prerequisite for my session of GOG 406
(Special Topics in GIS) and GOG 692/PLN 656 (Seminar in GIS).
