1) Design - General layout of the website. Does the layout of the website make it easy to find the proper navigation links, is the site easy on the eyes, are there certain specific points that should stand out, and do, load time.

2) Navigation - This ranks high on my list. Is the entire site, easy to navigate, easy to find where you are, where you came from, and how to get back to where you were? Is there a site map available?

3) Updates - Is the date of the last update available on the site? How often does the information, and site change?

4) Resolution sizes - How does the site look under several resolutions?

5) Score - Scale of 1-10

Design

 This site is very beautifully designed. The layout is very simple yet, very pleasing on the eye. The site is developed for people inside and outside of New York, since the site is produced by the © New York State Department of Economic Development. There are links on the main page which help you navigate into the site. The navigation tools are on the top of the page and seem to work well with the tone of the site. There are links that go to the tourist area of New York which help users find restaurants, attractions, events etc. throughout the New York area. Very simple to find your way around while keeping the users attention on all the information that is available to you. All in all, I really enjoyed the site, and found it very pleasing.

Navigation

 Navigation is very simple on this site, not very hard to get lost. There are many useful links throughout the site, which leads to a plethora of information, such as information on our govenor, maps, the local weather, and various events going on throughout the area. Very useful site for tourists and New Yorkers alike. The navigation tool bar is on the top is located throughout the site, whch makes it nice for helping you get along. When you enter the events section of the site, there is a form that allows you to search for what type of events you are looking for, as well as a specific day of your visit, which makes it very useful.

Updates

 I do not recall coming across a section where they tell you the last update of the webpage which would be useful, but since the site is a database for events and information, I would believe the site is updated on a regular basis.

Resolution

 This site works excellently at resolutions "800x600" and above.
