Class Plan
We will have a speaker in class today from a gender education advocacy network/organization. After a brief presentation from the speaker, we will have a question and answer period in which students should feel free to ask any questions that they have in regards to gender-queer culture, politics, etc. Please come to class prepared with a few questions.

  • Gender Outlaw:

    • chapter 4, Naming All The Parts
    • chapter 11, The First Question, or, They Have Those Funny, Staring Eyes
    • chapter 12, The Other Questions

 

Class Assignments

 

Please come to class prepared with a few questions for our speaker. Your questions should either be in regards to information that wasn't addressed in the readings or points of the readings for which you feel you need further clarification.

Note: Do not come to class with questions if you have not done the readings. The speaker will not be responsible for providing you with the basic information that you will get from the course readings; rather, ze will be able to answer questions from personal experience and hir work within the gender-queer community.
