MISSION: To create an interactive timeline (with hyperlinks and graphics) that redefines how can we can talk about "feminist history" in global perspective: in particular, one that can document human rights struggles throughout time and placing women at the center of these struggles, thereby reflecting current proclamations that "women's rights are human rights." Your task is to redefine the starting place of such a timeline (e.g. Would "feminist resistance" history begin with Mary Wollstonecraft, or might it begin somewhere located outside of Western history? And what endpoint in today's struggles might you want to highlight in this timeline?). Your timeline should include a 500-word introduction and provide brief moments in time, including lengthier descriptions of specific events or individual/groups that you feel deserve spotlight attention; be sure to include hyperlinks to relevant websites. Visit the sample websites above to determine the kind of information that is expected on such a timeline and to decide on shifts needed in paradigms and ideologies (both in terms of content and design).
