Sample Websites: Women Artists MISSION: To create a resource guide that provides a comprehensive list of feminist artists and art collectives in global perspective. Your task is to name relevant artists working in the fields of visual culture, performance, music, and other media. Your web page must include a 500-word introduction that argues for the function of "art as theory"; it must provide annotated descriptions of each artist/group listed, make arguments for how individual or group artists theorize feminism through art, and include hyperlinks to each artist/group's website (if one exists). Visit the sample websites above to determine the kind of information that is expected on a web page and to decide on shifts needed in paradigms and ideologies (both in terms of content and design). You may include an image gallery of artists' work (but no more than 3 works from one artist).
