Since followed a career in rare books librarianship, currently
with the Oxford University Early Printed Book Project.  Music
remains a firm interest, though without regular service-playing
at present.
 
Pupil of John Wellingham and Alan Thurlow.  Active member of
Oxford Organists Association.
 
Particular interest in historic organs, historically-informed
performance practice, especially (though not exclusively) in
relation to English organs and music.  Incongruous interest:
English romantic organs and organ music.
 
Random dislikes: vandalism of organs by eclectic rebuilds;
Reger; electronic organs; Vierne's Organ Symphonies. Random
likes: John Stanley; reed stops; tierce mixtures; Edward
Bairstow's Organ Sonata; Hill organs; Messiaen.
