Rosemary Lane (f40rbl1@mvs.cso.niu.edu) ------------- Education: Studied piano, organ, violin, flute and trumpet in grade and high school (not always the same time). Graduated 1956, Bachelor of Arts, College of Wooster (Chemistry). Graduated 1960, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. 1960-1964, Mixed Internship, Pediatric Residency. 1965, Master of Public Health, Johns Hopkins. Employment: Organist and Choir Director Chapelgate Presbyterian Church Baltimore 1963-1965 (Hammond Organ). 1965-67, husband in Air Force, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. Base Chapel Organist, part time pediatrician in Great Falls, Montana. 1967-1977, employed by United Presbyterian Church, worked in a hospital in Cameroon, Africa. Played a few electric and pump organs, one harpsichord and an occasional piano while there. 1977-present, DeKalb Illinois. Organist at Westminster Presbyterian. DeKalb 1981-1984 +/-. Organist at First Lutheran Church DeKalb 1986 to the present. 1978 I began working for the Health Service at Northern and eventually became director in 1985. In 1984 I started working on an organ performance degree in the university. In 1988 I completed it and was awarded a master of music in organ performance and pedagogy. Since 1988 I have been adjunct faculty (that means volunteer) in the school of music. I teach one or two secondary students per semester and sometimes teach the group convocation class. I am retiring on June 29th, but will continue with the school of music. I may also work part time as a staff physician here.
