Robert J. Kerman (rjkerman@aol.com) ---------------- Education: Bachelor of Arts in Education, Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois. Master of Arts in Education, San Francisco State University. Organ study with Hugo Gehrke, Paul Bunjes, Harold Mueller, Wyatt Insko. Employment and Professional Associations: Currently Organist/Choir Director/Director of Liturgy at Christ Church Lutheran, San Francisco. Also faculty member and school organist at Cathedral School for Boys (Grace Cathedral). Member of American Guild of Organists and Association of Lutheran Church Musicians. Musical interests: Much of my work has been in small Lutheran parishes (under 200 members), and as a result I have specialized in music for small churches. I have led several workshops for church musicians from small parishes, been a recitalist (but not recently, due to graduate school), run a concert series (mostly organ recitals), and directed choirs and instrumental ensembles for all age levels. I particularly enjoy German church music: Hugo Distler, Heinz Werner Zimmermann, Ernst Pepping, etc. Other: I enjoy reading mysteries, and highly recommend _Divine Inspiration_ by Jane Langton (New York: Viking, 1993) to all organists and organ builders.
