Tom Hoehn --------- Tom is an organist for over half of his lifetime, currently holding the position of associate organist at First United Methodist Church of Clearwater, Florida, where he plays a 4/98 Ruffati/Wicks/Rodgers combination instrument. He is a substitute organist at Roaring 20's Pizza and Pipes (4/42 Wurlitzer) in Ellenton, Florida. He is also one of the volunteer pre-show organists at the Tampa Theatre in Tampa, Florida (3/12 Wurlitzer). He was the charter signing secretary for the Central Florida Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society in Tampa, Florida, in 1978. He has appeared as organist at J. Burns Pizza and Pipes in Tampa and Winter Haven, Florida (now closed). He has served as organist and substitute organist in the central Florida area since 1974 when he moved there from St. Joseph, Missouri. He has studied theatre organs with Don Baker (ex-New York Paramount Theatre), Bill Thomson, Virginia Welty, and Tillie Fankhauser. His primary area of interest is in theatre organ performance where he hopes to continually build a career as a concert artist. He is a member of six American Theater Organ Society chapters including: Central Florida (Tampa), Orlando area (Orlando), Manasota (Sarasota-Bradenton), Hilo Bay (Honolulu), Central Indiana (Indianapolis), and Valley of the Sun (Phoenix). He has performed in concert in around the state of Florida and in Jackson, Louisiana; Ironwood, Michigan; Crystal Falls, Michigan; and St. Joseph, Missouri. Accompaniment of silent films is one of his specialties. He is currently working on an album project of gospel/Christian music at Grace Baptist Church in Sarasota, Florida, on the 4/32 Forkker Memorial Wurlitzer. He provides organ music for the annual Festival of Trees and Lights in Clearwater, Florida, every Thanksgiving week. He has done this for the past nine years. Tom makes his living as a help desk technician for Computer Generated Solutions at their site in Tampa, Florida, where he provides overnight technical support to over 40,000 United States-based accountants worldwide for Ernst & Young LLP.
