Paul E. Cooney (PEC8596@aol.com) -------------- I am an organ enthusiast (and for a year or two some time ago, a member of the American Guild of Organists), although I regret that I do not play any keyboard instrument. I never remember not being fascinated by the organ. Several years ago we bought a piano and I had hopes of learning basic keyboard skills, but I just never had the time to give to it. Someday perhaps. In real life I am a partner at a corporate law firm in Washington DC. My major pro bono activity is to serve as the Chancellor of the Diocese of Washington. My family attends Christ Church, Kensington, Maryland. I enjoy just about all pre-20th century music for the organ. Also, very occasionally, I enjoy listening to few tracks of CDs with theatre organ music; after a while, however, the reedy sound gets to me. I have been on the Piporg mailing list for a couple weeks and have enjoyed it very much. Most subscribers are considerably more organ literate than I and I look forward to learning more about this instrument.
