In 1997-1998 A. Lapenas, M. Torn, R. Natis and V. Aparin visited Kamennaya Steppe and collected number of soil samples (se the scheme). These soil samples were collected at the place where archived samples were collected in 1920, 1947 and 1970. Results of this study can be found in these papaers:
