Building 27 Study

Overview

Building 27 (formerly, the Business Administrations Building) was constructed in 1967 and has not been significantly rehabbed since. A Facilities Master Plan, completed in 2012, recommended a comprehensive renovation and reprogramming of spaces in the building to provide surge space for academic departments, displaced by other major renovations on the Podium. With the recent relocation of the Business School, there is now an opportunity to fully rehab this building for the new Occupants, the School of Education and the Department of Economics.

The overall objective of this study is to assess the Facilities Master Plan recommendations and campus program requirements, and develop a space program for the renovations as well as associated test fit diagrams. The Office of Campus Planning is coordinating this program study to clearly define the project goals, needs, schedule and budget for the proposed program.
