General Education Studies (GES)


Requirements for GES (30 credits minimum):

  • One course in educational and social thought (3 credits)

  • Culminating research seminar (TAP 680 or 681) (3 credits)

  • For professional certification: at least 12 credits in the content area of the initial certificate(Arts & Sciences courses)

  • Individually-tailored concentration (12 credits in area of professional interest, with approval of advisor)

  • One course in educational and social thought (3 credits)
