ALBANY CONSORTIUM FOR
RESEARCH IN INSTRUCTIONAL
DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY
(ACRIDAT)
The Albany Consortium for Research in Instructional Design and Technology (ACRIDAT) seeks to build a collaborative community of scholars dedicated to understanding and improving learning and instruction across a variety of settings, subject matters, and methods of learning facilitation. It sponsors a weekly forum of graduate students and professors who meet to discuss theory, research, and practice related to curriculum, teaching and learning, instructional design and technology. Students are especially encouraged to practice professional presentations and test ideas for master's and doctoral research. Faculty also lead discussions on their own research, teaching or curriculum development projects, and critical issues in instruction design and technology.
ACRIDAT is led by Robert Bangert-Drowns, professor of instructional design and technology at the University at Albany, and is open to anyone interested in the improvement of instructional practice through scholarly research.
