The 16th Annual Conference on ETHNOGRAPHIC AND QUALITATIVE RESEARCH IN
EDUCATION will be held at the University at Albany (SUNY), Albany, New York.
The purpose of the conference will be to share the findings of recent
ethnographic and qualitative studies in education.
A variety of formats will be offered by which you can present your study:
Individual Papers:
• Paper
Session – (20 minute individual presentation of
research)
•
Lecture Style Presentation – (60 minute session with a
45 minute presentation and 15 minutes for questions and discussion)
Group Sessions:
• Symposium
– (theme session with 2-4 other presenters joining you on similar topics; 15
to 20 minute presentations followed by questions and discussion for a total
of two hours)
• Round
Table Discussions – (1 hour open discussion with
researchers)
• Workshop
– (active discussion that provides hands on experience – 1 hour session)
• Other
– (please describe your needs or desired format)
Proposal Submission
Please submit
a 3 to 5 page proposal of your paper for our reviewers. This proposal can
either describe an empirical study or be a discussion about some important
theoretical or practical issue for qualitative research in education. This
proposal should address, as explicitly as possible:
