Independent Tutoring
Independent Tutoring matches students who need help in a course with a tutor that is knowledgeable about the subject area. The recommended fee for Independent Tutoring is $8-12 per hour. To find out more about Independent Tutoring, please click the link above.
University Tutors
University Tutors assist study group facilitators with tutoring students. In order to be a University Tutor, students have to have received a B+ in the course and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Study Skills Workshops
Each one-hour workshop provides a concentrated approach to acquiring skills vital to achieving academic success. Participants are welcomed to attend as few or as many of the sessions as they desire. For information on workshop topics, times and locations, please click the link above.
Study Skills Handbook
The purpose of this booklet is to provide you with some basic strategies necessary to succeed in this educational environment. Hopefully, it will encourage you to build on more individual strengths as you work toward a college degree. It was authored by the esteemed Dr. Carson Carr, former EOP Director and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Term Planner
The term planner is a calendar that lists University holidays and breaks for students to use to manage their time during the semester. Click on the link above to access the Term Planner.
Faculty Mentor Program: Through participation in this program, students and faculty or professional staff members are matched in a mentoring relationship. Matches are made according to the student’s preference in terms of career, academic, or personal interests. Once matched, it is up to the student and the faculty or professional staff member to decide the level of interaction that will take place.
