Dissertation Title:
“From First Man to Last Man: The Specular Subject in the Transatlantic Novel, 1719-1850” (working title)

Research Interests:
My research focus is on the British and American novel's engagement with philosophy during the long transatlantic 18th century, particularly on the conceptualization of thinking on a visual model and the critique of that model in fiction. My other interests include creative writing, film, and visual studies.
