Edward Schwarzschild is the author of the novel Responsible Men (2005), a San Francisco Chronicle Best Book of the Year, a BookSense Notable Pick, and a finalist for the Rome Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Samuel Goldberg and Sons Foundation Prize for Jewish Fiction.
His work has appeared in the Believer, Moment, jewcy.com, StoryQuarterly, and the Yale Journal of Criticism, among other publications. He has been a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Zaragoza during Spring 2008.
His latest book is The Family Diamond
(2007), a collection of stories about family,
love, and loss, set in and around Philadelphia.
