Academic advisement, audit reviews, AVN advisement sessions, transfer equivalent evaluation, evaluation of study abroad requests and academic improvement forms, referral to appropriate university offices and resources.
Advisement Tips
Always bring a newly printed copy of your DARS audit.
Investigate the English department's course offerings before you arrive.
If you need to have university forms evaluated and signed, fill them out prior to your arrival.
Reserve between ten and twenty minutes for your advisement session, depending on the complexity of your advisement needs.
Expect to wait in a long line if you arrive for pre-registration advisement during the afternoon hours.
The last advisee is seen at 3:45 pm, sharp. If you are not with an advisor at 3:45 pm, you will be asked to return the following day.
The advisement office does not distribute course permission numbers.
Note: Seniors are restricted from taking 100 level courses. Be sure you have completed your general education and 100 level requirements before you have earn 88 credits.
