• A Curriculum Vitae
• A Dissertation Abstract or Précis
• Letters of Recommendation
• Writing Sample(s); the same logic for multiple versions applies here as for the application letter.  See “Letters of Application”
• Statement of Teaching Philosophy and Teaching Portfolio

You should request a packet of sample application materials from the Graduate Studies Office. This packet contains the application materials prepared by several University at Albany English graduates who successfully landed academic positions in a variety of types of institutions.
