Office of Environmental Health & Safety
The University at Albany Office of Environmental Health and Safety is a service organization dedicated to providing the expertise, advice, guidelines and current standards of professional practice, to ensure the safety and well being of our students, faculty, staff and visitors. Our goal is to prevent injury, illness, and environmental damage through the recognition, evaluation, and control of potential hazards arising from University activities, and to comply with federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.

2013 UAlbany Campus Fire Safety Day
The EH&S Office will hold it's annual Fire Safety Day and mock dorm room burn on August 23rd, 2013.

Globally Harmonized System (GHS) Training
EHS will hold mandatory training on the new Global Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of chemicals for University employees in Life Sciences room #1143. Initial trianing is to be held on June 27th at 10:30. Additional dates can be found here:

Holiday Closings
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety will be closed for regular business on Juy 4 & 5, 2013, in observance of Independence Day.
