Office of Environmental Health & Safety

The University at Albany Office of Environmental Health and Safety is a service organization dedicated to providing the expertise, advice, guidelines and current standards of professional practice, to ensure the safety and well being of our students, faculty, staff and visitors. Our goal is to prevent injury, illness, and environmental damage through the recognition, evaluation, and control of potential hazards arising from University activities, and to comply with federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.

    Supervisor's Training

    The Environmental Health & Safety and Human Resources departments have teamed up to create the “Essentials of Supervision” training class.  This class is designed to help UAlbany supervisors grow into more effective leaders and promote safety for their staff.  The first class took place on November 14, 2017.   More training sessions will be scheduled soon!

    EH&S' Laboratory Inpsection Schedule

    EH&S will begin their rotation of monthly Laboratory Inpsections by building starting December 8. Look out Chemistry! You are First!

    The Office of Environmental Health and Safety will be closed for regular business on November 23 and 24, 2017 in observance of Thaksgiving Day!
