accomplishments. The accomplishments of our
faculty include editorial positions in journals;
numerous publications in psychology and education
journals; university grants and awards; and external
grants from granting agencies in the New York State
and the country. |

Professor
David (Yun) Dai, Department of Educational and
Counseling Psychology, will be the 2006 recipient
of the Early Scholar Award from the National
Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). The
award is given annually on a competitive basis
to one scholar who received a doctoral degree
no more than 10 years ago and who has made significant
scholarly contributions to the field. The award
will be formally conferred at the November 2006
Annual Convention of the NAGC.

Frank A. Vellutino was asked to give a lecture
at Vanderbilt University in September, 2005.
The lecture was part of a distinguished lecture
series and was entitled Specific Reading Disability
(Dyslexia): What Have We Learned in the Past
Four Decades?
