SOE Alumna Agan-Smith Honored with NASP 2015 School Psychologist of the Year Award

Albany, NY (March 16, 2015) - Dr. Pamela V. Agan-Smith, a graduate of the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology, was named 2015 School Psychologist of the Year by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

The award recognizes excellence in the delivery of school psychological services and in advancing the profession. She was presented with the award at the NASP annual convention in February.

Dr. Agan-Smith has served as school psychologist in the Greenville Central School District for 31 years. She earned a PsyD in School Psychology, CAS in School Psychology, and MS in Educational Psychology and Statistics from the University at Albany.

In 2013, Dr. Agan-Smith was named Frank Plumeau New York State School Psychologist of the Year. This award is given by the New York Association of School Psychologists (NYASP) to a school psychologist who exemplifies valuable school psychology practice according to criteria in eleven domains delineated by NASP.
