Levy Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Albany, NY (March 20, 2014) - Dr. Daniel C. Levy, distinguished professor of Educational Administration and Policy Studies, has been selected to receive the 2014 Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) Higher Education SIG Award for Lifetime Contribution to the field.

This award honors a long-time member of CIES who demonstrates evidence of regular presentation on international higher education at CIES regional, national, and international meetings and an extensive history of work in international higher education. Levy was presented with this award at the CIES Annual Meeting in Toronto in March, 2014.

Levy holds affiliated appointments with the Public Policy Program and Political Science Department as well as a joint appointment in Latin American Studies. His research centers around higher education policy globally, related non-profit sectors, and Latin American politics. Founded in 1956, CIES is the premiere scholarly association dedicated to understanding educational trends, processes, and policies through comparative, cross-cultural, international perspectives.
