Susan D. Phillips Testifies Before the United States Senate on Reauthorizing Higher Education Act
Albany, NY (September 20, 2013) - Dr. Susan D. Phillips, University at Albany Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, testified before the United States Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee on Thursday at a hearing for The Triad: Promoting a System of Shared Responsibility. Issues for Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act.
She joined Dr. Paul E. Lingenfelter (State Higher Education Executive Officers Association), Dr. Terry W. Hartle, (American Council on Education), and Dr. Marshall A. Hill (National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements) on the panel of witnesses. A vocational psychologist, Phillips is former dean of the School of Education and holds a faculty appointment in the School’s Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology.
