Joseph E. Bowman, Jr. Reappointed as NYS Regent

Joseph E. Bowman, Jr., Educational Theory and Practice and the Director of Center for Urban Youth and Technology (CUYT), has been reappointed to a second five-year term on the New York State Board of Regents. Dr. Bowman was elected to his first five-year term as a Regent on April 1, 2004.

The Regents are responsible for the general supervision of all educational activities within the State, presiding over The University and the New York State Education Department. The Board comprises 16 members elected by the State Legislature for 5 year terms: 1 from each of the State's 12 judicial districts and 4 members who serve at large.
