About the East Campus
Overlooking the City of Albany, the Hudson River,
and the Heldeburg Mountains, the 87-acre East Campus
is located at the former Sterling Winthrop complex in
East Greenbush, New York. Owned and operated by the
University
at Albany Foundation, the
East Campus brings together office space and
high-tech laboratories in a venue that maximizes the
Capital Region's research and development strengths.
East Campus Community &
Culture
The facility's mixed-purpose buildings provide an
interactive, dynamic environment for uniting the University's
educational, scientific, and economic development capabilities
with those of industry and other research institutions.
Members of the East Campus Community meet monthly to
discuss developments on campus, share requests and information,
obtain business support, and to participate in scientific
exchanges. We have a highly cooperative and collaborative
culture and we are highly supportive of interactions
between faculty and students and the researchers at
East Campus companies.
