Language Placement

Many of our incoming students have previous language training and ask how they will be placed in our language classes. You do not need to take a placement exam. Rather, we ask that you contact the appropriate faculty member listed below:

• Chinese: James Hargett or Shuhan Yeh
• Japanese: Mark Blum or Michiyo Wojnovich
• Korean: Andrew Byon

Please include information about your experience (such as high school classes, exchange student experience, heritage learning at home, etc.) that you think would be helpful in determining your level.
