SANDRA VERGARI (Ph.D. Michigan State University) is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Policy Studies, and a faculty affiliate with the Department of Public Administration and Policy at the University at Albany, SUNY.  Vergari is a political scientist with a focus on local, state, and federal K-12 education reform politics and policy.  She has conducted research on charter schools, federalism and education policy, state-level education policy, and education governance and policy in Canada and the United States.  Her work has appeared in policy reports, academic journals, and books.
