Q: What is a webinar?
A: A webinar is an audio and visual presentation through the Internet. You are able to view the presentation at your home/office computer and listen to the audio through your phone connection.

Q: What is the difference between a webinar and a videoconference?
A: You view a webinar individually at your computer. A videoconference is typically held in a conference room for a large group of people and is shown using videoconference equipment.  A webinar allows an individual to interact during the presentation through chat, polling, etc. Videoconferences do not allow for this level of interaction.   

Q: How do I sign up?
A: To register, visit http://nyvbcc.webex.com/meet/sta
Please note that space is limited. After you register, an email will be sent to you with instructions on how to join the training session and teleconference. A reminder email with this same information will be sent one day before the scheduled date of the webinar. 

Q: What are the pros of webinars?
A: Webinars serve as training sessions without the burden and expense of travel. They are short and flexible, so you do not need to devote a large block of time to the training. It also allows for timely training, so you have the most current information.
