Important Information for Satellite downlink sites tuned to the SUNYSAT MPEG2 Digital Video Broadcast

New York Network has changed the parameters for its broadcasts that are received from SUNYSAT. If your satellite is permanently tuned to SUNYSAT, you will need to be sure your receiver is retuned.

If you have the newer COSHIP (Model CDDB5110D) receiver with a smart card, your receiver should have been automatically retuned on October 17. If that did not happen, you will need to retune manually as described below.

If you have the Miralite (Model MR3100) receiver or were not successfully retuned automatically, you will have to manually retune. There is a detailed text document as well as a video presentation on the NYNetwork website (www.nyn.suny.edu ) to help site technicians with the retune process. On the main page on the left-hand side under “Directories” look for Satellite Return and click on “Satellite Retune FAQ.”

You can also get assistance from the NYN/SUNYSAT staff at 518-453-9521 or at 518-443-5333.
