Research Interests:

I am a Ph.D. student in the anthropology department. My dissertation explores the effects of persistent organic pollutants on Native American adolescent growth and development. My research interests include relationships between toxicants such as PCBs, DDT (DDE) and other toxicants and growth parameters including physical growth and sexual maturation. I have worked with Professor Schell on the Children's Environmental Health Studies grants. I have co-written papers on the effects of toxicants on thyroid hormones and growth and we have presented our results at many of the physical anthropology meetings.
