University policy as well as New York State and Federal Law prohibit employment discrimination. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion ensures that the University is in compliance with State and Federal non-discrimination Laws and Executive Orders by receiving and investigating allegations of unlawful discrimination.
Specifically, the Office:
Works to prevent discrimination by providing training and education on topics relevant to the university's non-discrimination policy.
Investigates allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment;
Monitors discrimination and sexual harassment incidents to determine trends that might indicate the need for intervention.
