Sexual Harassment, Responsibility, and Prevention Program (SHARP) logo

Mission and Purpose
Promoting education and awareness of the definitions and consequences of sexual harassment is an essential element for reducing and eradicating incidences of sexual harassment across the campus community. Hence, the Sexual Harassment, Responsibility, and Prevention Program (SHARP) has been developed to promote awareness and prevention of sexual harassment, and to educate the UAlbany community on the nature and seriousness of this offense.

The SHARP Training Program will allow participants to increase their understanding of sexual harassment within the University Community through a discussion of the definition of sexual harassment, the prevalence of the problem, the effects of sexual harassment, and strategies for preventing sexual harassment and protecting victims.

Please contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to find out more information about the SHARP program, to find out how you can help support the program, or to request SHARP training.

Individuals who believe they have experienced discrimination or sexual harassment are encouraged to contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at (518) 956-8110 or via email at ODI@uamail.albany.edu. All such inquiries will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
